Come vestirsi battesimo

Me ne stavo lì, con lo sguardo fisso ad ammirare immagini scattate una vita fa, immagini di 21 anni fa, quelle del mio battesimo, fotografie che ritraevano una bambina cicciona (e se dico cicciona intendo proprio cicciona!) insieme a parenti da ogni dove contenute in un album impolverato racchiuse in uno scrigno dorato. Immagini dense di sentimenti e gioia, di amore e felicità che mi hanno fatto tornare indietro nel tempo, mi hanno fatto pensare a tutti i disastri e le marachelle che ho combinato, alle risate e ai pianti, alle mille avventure di una ragazzina di provincia e, in ogni ricordo c’è lei: la Mamma (sì, ok , c’è anche il Papà ma, visto il nostro rapporto di amore/odio il post che ho dedicato a lui qualche tempo fa è sufficiente al momento, se te lo sei perso lo leggi qui).

Oggi mi concentro su di lei, la mia mamma, perché di mamma ce n’è una sola e questo NIVEA lo sa bene, motivo per il quale ha lanciato la campagna #avevaragionemamma.

Ecco, giusto appunto, a me questa frase “aveva ragione mamma” suona sconosciuta, o meglio, frulla nella mia testa ogni volta che mamma mi da un consiglio ma non l’ho mai detta in vita mia (e se dico mai è mai!), sono super orgogliosa e appena qualcuno tenta di farmi cambiare idea mi chiudo a riccio (lo so è sbagliato e bla bla..). Fatto sta che la mamma ha sempre ragione e, pur non pronunciando la mitica frase, finisco sempre con l’ascoltare i suoi consigli e penso tra di me: avevi ragione mamma! Anche se ora le cose sono un po’ cambiate, forse sto diventando una piccola donna e sto abbandonando quella fase adolescenziale che tanto amavo, ora come ora in certe occasioni mi viene quasi istintivo dire: avevi ragione mamma! Come quella volta in cui non ho messo la giacca per uscire e ho avuto freddo per tutto il giorno, oppure ancora quando ho deciso di indossare un paio di scarpe scomodissime per un’intera giornata a Milano! Forse è proprio vero che cominciamo a comprendere i consigli della mamma, solo quando cominciamo a crescere!

Ritornando al nostro vecchio album impolverato però, cara mamma, non posso dirti “avevi ragione” quando si parla di look e soprattutto quando si parla di stile! Lo so, i tuoi erano gli anni Novanta e la moda era piuttosto diversa da ora, ma insomma, quel completo arancio/rosa abbinato a quello di papà, era proprio un orrore! (Se comunque l’anno prossimo andrà di moda te lo ruberò, stanne certa! Detto ciò dai un’occhiata a cosa va di moda qui!)

How to dress for a baptism. I stood there, staring to see images taken a long time ago, images of 21 years ago, those of my baptism, photographs depicting a really fat child (I was so cute!) along with parents from everywhere, images contained in a dusty album packaged in a golden casket. Images full of love and feelings of joy, love and happiness that made me go back in time, they made me think of all the disasters and the pranks I’ve done, the laughter and the tears, the many adventures of a girl of province and in every memory there is her: Mom (yes, okay, there’s also Dad, but since our love/ hate the post I dedicated to him some time ago is all at the moment, if you missed it you can read it here).

Today I focus on her, my mom, because there is only a mother and Nivea knows this, and this is the reason why they launched the project  #youwererightmom.

For me this sentence “you were right Mom” ​​sounds strange, or rather, it blend in my head every time mom gives me an advice but I have never said it in my life (never! ), I am super proud and as soon as someone tries to change my mind I close up like a clam (I know it’s wrong and bla blah ..). The fact is that the mother is always right and, while not saying the legendary phrase, I always end up listening to her advice and I think to myself: you were right Mom!

Returning to us and to our dusty old album, dear mother, I can not tell you “you were right” when it’s time to talk about outfits, and especially when we talk about how to dress for a baptism! I know, you were in the nineties and fashion has changed now, but that pink sweater combined with that of dad is an horror!
